Researching the various ways the educational systems are becoming increasingly privatized through private and charter schools in America and tutoring centers and international schools in China. Primarily looking at how these privatization and marketization educational reforms are leading to greater wealth inequality and a diminishment of some students’ access to opportunities
International Marketing and Recruiting
Developing and implementing a Marketing and Recruiting Plan for VIA Programs, a non-profit fellowship program in Asia with a team of MIIS IEM students. We developed promotional materials, surveys, as well as an in-depth website and application auditing.

Chinese language course on current events and news surrounding China and its relations with the rest of the world. Current research project: Chinese international students’ challenges and triumphs in American higher educational systems.

Our project consists of a comprehensive, data-driven assessment followed by resulting design change recommendations for the Santa Clara University Study Abroad application process.
Don't MIIS It Chinese Website
This site is a collaborative effort by Professor Dai Jin Huei and her students:
April (Ma Jin Yu), Eva, Gretta Harris, John (Wang Li), Nell Turner, Rachel Muradyan, and Sophie (Xu Xue).
Project DON’T MIIS IT contains a production of five categories: Exploring Characters, Learn Chinese, Intercultural Communication, and Teacher’s Voice. The features of the podcasts are mini-clips, easy intakes, and interacting in English about learning Chinese phrases. This aims to promote Chinese learning on campus and beyond.
